WORSHIP AND MUSIC MINISTRIES

Praise dance, as a ministry grace, is simply an expression of movement used to communicate with God and to communicate God's heart to His people. It is the sight of God's message. It communicates the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a way that may not be received or understood through the hearing of the Gospel.

Praise dancing is a liturgical or spiritual dance that incorporates music and movement as a form of worship rather than as an expression of art or as entertainment. Praise dancers use their bodies to express the word and spirit of God.

The meaning of Praise – the expression of approval or admiration for someone or something.

The meaning of Dance – moves rhythmically to music, typically following a set sequence of steps. (of a person) moves in a quick and lively way.

Praise dancers can be old or young, male or female, experienced or novice. Anyone who feels spiritual joy and wants to express it through dance can join in. That said, some praise dances are prearranged as choreographed pieces for a select group of dancers in a congregation. Praise dances can also feature a soloist, who may perform with or without set choreography, depending on whether he or she chooses to dance a previously arranged routine, or prefers to dance spontaneously.

Magnification

Practices are held every Wednesday at 7pm and occasionally on Saturday mornings.

Let them praise His name with the dance. Let them sing praises to Him with the timbrel and harp. For the Lord takes pleasure in His people. He will beautify the humble with Salvation.

~ Psalms 149:3-4

Yes, colors always have meaning; including the color of praise dance attire. Most of us are oblivious or indifferent concerning these meanings. It may take time and much effort to accumulate all of the colors and have the colors correspond to the dance but pray and God will give you direction~
